🧺 Vide-Greniers & Local Markets
July is one of the busiest months for vide-greniers across Normandy, with village squares, seaside promenades, sports grounds and town centres hosting events almost every weekend ☀️
This month's listings include:
- Traditional village vide-greniers
- Large brocantes and antiques fairs
- Weekly and seasonal local markets
- Summer artisan and craft fairs
- Community fêtes combined with flea markets and live music
- Food and local produce markets
Popular local areas this month include:
- Granville & Saint-Pair-sur-Mer
- Coutances & Agon-Coutainville
- Lessay & La Haye
- Carentan & Saint-Lô
- Smaller villages across the Cotentin and Manche countryside
Many Normandy vide-greniers begin very early, often from 6am–7am for serious bargain hunters. The best finds usually disappear before lunchtime… along with most available parking 🚗
Expect everything from vintage Normandy furniture and French kitchenware to vinyl, books, tools, linen, toys, military memorabilia and wonderfully confusing mystery objects nobody can identify anymore.
Some events are tiny village affairs with 20 sellers and homemade cake stands. Others stretch through entire town centres with hundreds of exhibitors.
July weather is usually ideal for exploring outdoor markets and village fairs, but a light waterproof and some cash are still sensible companions for a day out in Normandy ☀️🌦️
