A Home from Home in the Heart of Normandy
Bonjour and welcome! We’re Sam and Lee – the proud owners of Holidays-Normandy, a cosy countryside gîte located near Coutances in the beautiful Manche region of Lower Normandy.
We moved here to create something special: a peaceful space where families, friends, and groups can relax, explore, and reconnect with nature (and maybe say bonjour to a llama or two along the way 🦙).

What Makes Our Gîte Unique?

Our Story
Before moving to France, we had careers in building (Lee) and technology (Sam) – and that hasn’t completely stopped! Sam still works remotely alongside our gîte business here in Normandy, and Lee continues to handle the renovations and ongoing upkeep of the property.
We – along with Sam’s mum and dad, Kay and Robin – began by renovating the main house, carefully restoring its original charm and making it our home. Then came the start of the transformation of a barn into a gîte – a space we’ve designed with comfort, flexibility, and families in mind. (Another gîte to follow!)
A lot of love (and sawdust!) later, Ursula Gîte was born – named after our llama, Ursula, who keeps a gentle eye on the place and welcomes guests in her own quiet way ❤️🦙
