Mandatory Guest Information

The following information is required by French law and must be available to all guests staying at the property. Please read this page carefully before or during your stay.

1. Prices & Transparency

Nightly rate: from €100 per night (seasonal rates apply).

Base occupancy: Prices include up to 6 guests. Additional guest fees apply for 7–10 guests.

Welcome basket: The cost of the welcome basket is included in the price of the stay.

Drinks & add-ons: All drink prices and optional extras are displayed in the webshop.

2. Tourist Tax (Taxe de Séjour)

The tourist tax applies per adult, per night. The amount may vary depending on the season and is set by the local commune.

Payment may be taken at booking or on arrival depending on the booking platform.

Current tourist tax rates are also displayed on the framed notice board by the front door.

3. Food & Drink Information (Legal Notice)

  • The welcome basket is included in the total price of the stay.
  • Drink prices are listed clearly in the webshop.
  • Please inform us of allergies or dietary requirements before consuming any items provided.
  • All food supplied is in sealed packaging with labelled ingredients.

4. Accepted Means of Payment

Payments for add-ons, drinks, or services can be made using the following accepted methods:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay

5. Smoking Policy

The gîte is strictly non-smoking indoors.

Smoking is permitted only in outdoor areas. Ashtrays can be provided on request.

6. Fire Safety & Evacuation Plan

In case of fire:

  1. Raise the alarm and alert all occupants.
  2. Evacuate immediately using the nearest exit. Do not collect personal items.
  3. Assemble at the designated meeting point: the gravel parking area behind the main house “La Ruche”.
  4. Call emergency services: 112
  5. Do not re-enter the building until authorised.

Fire safety equipment on site:

  • Fire extinguisher: under the kitchen sink
  • Fire blanket: under the kitchen sink
  • Smoke alarms installed in required areas

Spiral staircase safety:
Only one person at a time is permitted on the spiral staircase.

7. CCTV Notice

External CCTV cameras operate outside the gîte for property and guest security.

No cameras are installed inside the gîte.

Footage is stored securely and handled according to GDPR regulations.

8. Safety Notices

  • The splash pool is fenced but not supervised.
  • Children must be supervised at all times.
  • No EV charging unless authorised (rural electrics).
  • No candles or open flames anywhere on the property.
  • Do not unplug Wi-Fi receivers.

9. Additional Legal Notices

  • Maximum occupancy: 10 guests.
  • Insurance: Guests are strongly encouraged to hold travel insurance covering cancellation, belongings, medical needs, and liability.
  • Accessibility:
    • The ground floor (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living area) is fully step-free and accessible.
    • The bathroom offers full wheelchair access, with a walk-in shower, a shower seat, and handrails for both the shower and the toilet.
    • Outdoor access is step-free, with a permanent built ramp from the road to the gîte entrance.
    • Parking is located in a large private drive with step-free access directly to the gîte.
    • The ground-floor bedroom is accessible. The bed can be moved to create additional space on either side if required, although manoeuvring room may still feel limited for some wheelchair users.
    • Both upper levels (mezzanine and first floor) are not accessible and can only be reached via spiral staircases.
    • No formal wheelchair-access certification is in place, but the ground-floor layout is suitable for many guests with reduced mobility.
