We’re so excited to welcome you to Holidays-Normandy! Below you’ll find everything you need to know before you arrive – from directions and check-in to helpful packing tips and local advice. 😊

🕑 Check-In & Arrival

  • Check-in: From 4:00 PM
  • Check-out: By 10:00 AM, unless a later check-out has been confirmed with us.
  • Quiet hours: From midnight
  • You will receive your arrival instructions and keybox code before your stay.

Please let us know your estimated time of arrival in your Pre-Arrival Form.

💳 Security Deposit Reminder

If you have not yet completed your €500 security deposit pre-authorisation, please do so before arrival. You will receive (or have already received) a secure link to complete this step.

🧳 What to Bring

  • Sturdy walking shoes – we’re surrounded by lovely countryside paths!
  • Layers – Normandy weather can shift quickly 🌦️
  • Swimwear (for the splash pool and hot tub, seasonal use)
  • Your own travel insurance (recommended)

🛒 Gîte Pantry & Extras Shop

Want to make your holiday even easier?

Our Gîte Pantry & Extras Shop lets you order breakfasts, groceries, simple meals, homemade treats and useful extras before you arrive or during your stay.

⏰ For food orders, please order before 4:00 pm the previous day so we have time to shop for or prepare everything fresh.

Available options include:

  • 🧺 Arrival Grocery Pack
  • 🥐 Breakfasts, including French breakfast, American pancakes and porridge
  • 🍽️ Simple arrival meals and supper options
  • 🧀 Normandy snack plates
  • 🍰 Homemade cakes and seasonal bakes
  • 🛒 Useful groceries and other stay extras

Booked directly with Holidays-Normandy? Remember that your direct-booking benefits include a complimentary Normandy Welcome Basket worth €50+, eligible late check-out until 12:00, a homemade celebration surprise where applicable, and our first-morning breakfast offer.

Everything is completely optional and simply there to make your stay a little easier.

Please note: We shop specially for each food order so we can provide everything as fresh as possible. Orders are paid securely online, so there’s no need for cash during your stay. If you have any questions or need help placing an order, just ask us.

🧻 Toilet Paper Reminder

If you’re shopping before arrival, please buy toilet paper that is safe for septic systems.

Look for: “convient pour les fosses septiques”

🐾 Meet the Llamas!

We have a few very friendly llamas on-site 🦙 They love to say hello but are always supervised during visits. Please don’t feed or approach them unless we’re with you.

📶 Wi-Fi & Essentials

  • Wi-Fi details: Provided inside the gîte (in the kitchen).
  • Please do not unplug or move the Wi-Fi receivers.
  • Emergency numbers & local info are in your printed Welcome Guide.

🛁 Hot Tub, Splash Pool & Safety

  • The splash pool and hot tub are unsupervised. Children must always be supervised by a responsible adult.
  • Please switch the bubbles off before replacing the inflatable thermal blanket and insulated cover after use.
  • Please leave the heating switched on and do not change the temperature or alter any controls other than the bubbles.
  • No glass, candles or open flames anywhere around the splash pool or hot tub.
  • EV charging is not permitted from the gîte or property electrical sockets. Public charging points are available locally in Coutances.

🚗 Parking

Free, secure parking is available in the driveway behind the gîte. Please keep the entrance clear for our car, emergency access and tractors.
And please close the gate so Brien (our very friendly – and deaf – dog) doesn’t wander!
